Robert Cherone, Tragically Killed in Industrial Accident at Milwaukee Pizza Factory, Leaves Behind Family and Friends

Robert Cherone, 45, of Elkhorn, tragically lost his life on the morning of September 18, 2025, after a devastating industrial accident at a manufacturing plant in West Milwaukee.

At approximately 6:30 a.m., emergency crews responded to reports of a worker being crushed by a robotic machine at the facility along West Lincoln Avenue. Upon arrival, first responders found Robert Cherone trapped under the machinery. Despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Palermo’s Pizza, where Cherone worked, expressed deep sorrow over the loss and confirmed their full cooperation with officials in investigating the cause of the incident. The company has also pledged to offer counseling and support to Cherone’s family, next of kin, and colleagues.

The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office officially ruled the death an accident, and investigators from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) are now working to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.

Friends, family, and co-workers are left grappling with this unexpected loss. Wisconsin AFL-CIO President Stephanie Bloomingdale extended condolences, calling for stronger workplace safety measures to prevent future tragedies.
